BANGKOK, 3 October 2014 (NNT) - Thailand has earned a gold medal by defeating South Korea in the men’s Sepak Takraw competition at the 17th Asian Games in Incheon.
For the final round of the tournament, the line-up for the Thai squad included Sitthong Kamchan, Pattarapong Yupadee, and Pornchai Khaokaew.
Even though South Korea gave a good fight, the Thai side managed to win the first set 21-16 and triumphed over the hosts on the second set 21-14.
Their victory has made the Thai sepak takraw team the champions for the fifth consecutive time and earned Thailand the 11th gold medal at the Incheon Asian Games.
